Rasam Powder

For a typical South Indian Rasam, this powder comes in very handy. All measures are given in parts, so the measure can be a cup, spoon, big laddle or a small katori of your choice.


Dhania — 6 parts

Toor Dal — 1 part

Channa Dal — 1 part

Pepper corns (Milagu)–1/2 part

Turmeric powder — 1 Tablespoon

Chilli powder — 1/2 part


Dry roast each of the ingredient except turmeric powder and chilli powder separately. Let it cool. Grind them to a fine powder and store in an airtight container.
