Pasta with Veggie Sauce

I make pastas very often and I’m always on the look out for making it with as much variation as possible. I’ve tried sauteeing vegetables and then toss them with marinara sauce. I’ve tried grilling vegetables in the oven to get that charred taste and then tossing them with olive oil and cheese. I’ve tried baking them with cheese. This recipe was something my son loved it at my friend Anu’s house. She was trying Want to know more about this recipe?

Broccoli & Edamame Soup

My little one loves to eat anything with a soft texture. I call him a grandpa as he likes to eat foods that needs little to no chewing. The modern era has made him a lazy boy who just wants to do minimum effort while eating his food. He likes to gobble them up (that’s his explanation) and be done with the constant nagging of being told to eat. Rice has to be cooked mushy Want to know more about this recipe?

Baked Garlic Fries

From thinly cut, thickly cut, crinkly cut to curly kinds, fries do take up many form but are basically potatoes cut in desired shapes and deep fried to crisp. Now do they have to be deep fried to be crispy? I guess not, they can be baked and be as tasty if not better than fried ones. I topped these fries with garlic and Parmesan cheese and I couldn’t stop myself or my kids from Want to know more about this recipe?

Monkey bread Mini Muffins

With my head pounding from my day’s running around in hot sweltering sun I sat down in front of my computer to write today’s post. My brain which was already shouting with aches refused to splatter words. As I was staring at the blank screen on how to write, my daughter came to my rescue by asking if I needed any help. I asked her for ideas on how to start this post and she Want to know more about this recipe?

Bagel Cups

My little one gets attached to one type of food and bores everyone at home with the same food for weeks. He is so stubborn that he would refuse to eat anything else until the fever of one food spreads to another. This time it was bagel and cream cheese that was on for weeks and then transformed to pizza. I didn’t know what to do with the leftover bagels that were sitting in my Want to know more about this recipe?

Blueberry Chocolate Truffle Pudding

Its the middle of Summer and I’m enjoying Mr.Sun on one side, and dreading the constant bickering of my kids on the other. To keep me cool and to let them have some fun with occasional sweet treats in the evening I made this truffle pudding from left over sponge cake from the battenberg cake that I tried for this month’s Daring Baker’s challenge. My kids have some strange attraction towards size when they need Want to know more about this recipe?

Fried Ravioli with Marinara Sauce

I was introduced to cooking by my mom and grandfather. Both of them are strict followers of recipes and don’t dare to deviate from the traditional recipes passed on to them by their parents and hence their cooking yields an authentic taste. In the current trend of “no time” for anything and everything I tend to lean towards semi-home made cooking. Its such a boon to have few ingredients readily available and it makes life Want to know more about this recipe?

Rice Wrapper Veggie Rolls

“As a rule, children dislike foods which are said to be good for them, or are forced on them, and they take strong fancies to foods which they are not allowed to eat; advantage should be taken of these tendencies.”–Eric Pritchard. I take advantage by disguising the foods that are good to them in fancy dishes and give them names they’ve never heard off and they seem to enjoy the new dish. To be honest, Want to know more about this recipe?

Grilled Avocado Cheese Sandwich

My kids are not big fan of sandwiches, but these avocado sandwiches which is so bland and nothing that would tickle the Indian tongue’s spiciness has become their new favorite. I don’t cook anything elaborate if I have to cook just for my kids, simplicity is the key to their liking. It’s either grilled cheese sandwiches or other kid’s friendly dishes. I made these sandwiches, after my daughter saw them here , and wanted to Want to know more about this recipe?

Cheese Stick or Cheese In a Stick?

“I wish my stove came with Save As button like word has. That way I could experiment my cooking and not fear ruining my dinner.” -Jarod Kintz. Don’t we all? I would go one step ahead and wish my oven can listen to me and bake my recipes and deliver the result the way I had imagined. If not go to that extent of being a gene, the least my oven could have done was Want to know more about this recipe?
