Aloo Basket with corn chat

I’m a Gemini, and I have two opposing personalities. It’s what I’ve been blessed with and lucky for me my husband is a Gemini too. Oh, you don’t have to say, we ride our peaks and valleys in a roller coaster ride and the speed of the ride is determined by which of the four personalities are facing off each other. One thing that’s common to us is we always crave variety, we just cannot Want to know more about this recipe?

Bread Rolls

I know it’s a very long break that I took from blogging and its been quite difficult for me to get back the grove of consistent blogging. I have no excuse but to say I’ve become quite lazy to create or try any new recipes recently. With the constant badgering of my family and annoying reminders that I’m not making anything new I’ve considered to put my lazy gene to sleep(I hope it remains asleep Want to know more about this recipe?

Vegetable Taquitos

My family is known for their penchant for variety in their food choices. Naturally the brain storming and the constant changes in their taste buds adds a big toll in planning menus on a day-to-day basis. I’m always on the lookout for new dishes to try and many a times I try recipes just because the name caught my eye. This recipe is quite easy to make and are loaded with veggies, another score for Want to know more about this recipe?

Fried Ravioli with Marinara Sauce

I was introduced to cooking by my mom and grandfather. Both of them are strict followers of recipes and don’t dare to deviate from the traditional recipes passed on to them by their parents and hence their cooking yields an authentic taste. In the current trend of “no time” for anything and everything I tend to lean towards semi-home made cooking. Its such a boon to have few ingredients readily available and it makes life Want to know more about this recipe?

Cheese Stick or Cheese In a Stick?

“I wish my stove came with Save As button like word has. That way I could experiment my cooking and not fear ruining my dinner.” -Jarod Kintz. Don’t we all? I would go one step ahead and wish my oven can listen to me and bake my recipes and deliver the result the way I had imagined. If not go to that extent of being a gene, the least my oven could have done was Want to know more about this recipe?

Cucumber Pesto Rolls

I browse different websites when I have some time just for fun which makes my husband so happy as its much safer on his wallet when compared to letting me go on window shopping where I end up buying things that were not in my list. I browse to gaze at the food photographs that capture my eyes or learn the unique blend of ingredients in a recipe or awe at the method in which Want to know more about this recipe?

Baked Poha Cups

Today’s recipe is one of my spontaneous creations. I was rushing and juggling many things and that is one of the perks of being a mom for three kids (Don’t be alarmed, the count is right— my daughter, my son & my husband). I wouldn’t consider my husband to be a picky eater like a child, not all the time except when it comes to upma. He just doesn’t like rava upma. Period. I love Want to know more about this recipe?

Lijad Papad chat -Chinese style

I love lettuce wrap we get in a local Chinese restaurant. They give a bowl of filling (mix of finely diced tofu, water chestnuts, spring onions in Chinese sauce) that you stuff inside a big leaf of lettuce and eat. Well, I wanted to add a twist to that recipe by having it with Lijad papad. I like to eat spicy food on cold rainy days and this snack adds the right kick and zing. Aloo Paneer Parotta Baskets

Most of us are aware that, “Failure is stepping stone to success”. Because it fuels determination and forces you to think and use your creative mind that brings the required change. After I scheduled my backup post for Day 1 of my blogging marathon, I was thinking why did I fail in my Aloo Paneer Pie. The filling was really delicious but the crust had something missing more or less and I couldn’t just brush Want to know more about this recipe?

Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is an Indo-Chinese dish and I love Gobi in the form of manchurian. My daughter orders this dish whenever we go to Indian restaurant. If I cook Gobi(cauliflower) in any other form I get big faces and mumbling from the entire family. Yesterday, on the other hand I got extra help in setting the table, putting the toys away without any complaints because I was making Gobi Manchurian for dinner. With the right Want to know more about this recipe?
